Gila Almagor

Gila started her career as a 17 year old actress at the Habima National Theatre in Tel Aviv in ‘The Skin of Our Teeth’. She then studied in New York with teachers such as Lee Strasberg and Utah Hagen and has since appeared in countless productions on stage and screen, for which she has received numerous Israeli and international prizes. She is also a successful author of young adult fiction and several of her books have been made into prize-winning films. 

Almagor is the founder of the Gila Almagor Wishes Fund, a charity for sick children. In 2004 she was awarded the Israel Prize for lifetime contribution to the culture of Israel.
